hitec SS and realflight

I have a Hitec SS fm transmitter that I want to use with a sim. I checked out FMS and it doesn't look to good. It does the flicker thing on my vista machine. I was thinking about realflight. I have the trainer plug module for the tx. I just need to get the below cable. Will it work with FR4.5?

I presume by FR4.5 you actually mean RF 4.5 or should I say Realflight 4.5 ?

If so then no it won't work. Realflight, like all top end simulators require dedicated hardware to enable them to work. This hardware acts as copy protection to stop people using controllers like the one you linked to working with illegally copied CD's

Thankfully when you buy RF (or any other major sim) from a shop it comes with the required interface that should work with any transmitter that provides a PPm signal from the trainer port. If your TX works with FMS then you should be fine
