The "Big Smoothie" (Big Genie wing on the Smooth Genie Pro fuselage) is the latest version in the Genie line of scratch-buildable sailplanes. The attached picture is of my first one completed. I'm out of my neck brace worn the last 3 months and have done some trim flights using my "1 minute hi-start". I'm ready for some winch launches later this week if friends with the equipment can get away for some sod farm flying.
This is a big ship with 145-1/2" span and 8.75 sq. ft. of wing area. It's weight is 87.5 oz. compared to 94-96 for the original Big Genie. Building instructions are found at http://www.geniebuild.com/harleys_genie.html. Fuse kits are available. See File 1. Finest wing cores are available. See the "What's Available? File. See the "What's A Genie?" file about this unique line of rugged, state-of-the-art sailplanes.
