Did a search for this on the boards but didn't come up with much.

This is a cheaper version of Aerofly Pro Deluxe, but it uses the same physics engine and seems to contain the important stuff with ample variety of models and sceneries.

It's available in Interface version for connecting to transmitter and Game Conroller version which comes with a USB dummy transmitter. The price is a bit higher than ClearView + controller but in the same ballpark.

Any thoughts?

It's important to note that easyfly3 - unlike other simulators - is not extensible at all. Neither models nor sceneries from Aerofly or older versions of easyfly can be used with it. Beeing stuck with only factory models is the payoff for the lower price.

I like EasyFly3, though as Bartleby said it has a fixed number of models. I also have RealFlight G3.5 and to me EasyFly3 physics seem more realistic, especially the ground handling. Back when I started working on my landing technique I found that EasyFly3 really helped, where as in RealFlight G3.5 every plane seemed to land the same.

There is a decent mix of models in EasyFly3 that represent most aircraft type, though I do wish they had an additional low wing sport plane.

So, in my opinion if the $200 cost of RealFlight or Aerofly Pro Deluxe is just not something you would consider and you understand the you only get the models included I would recommend it.

One last quick thought. I also have Clearview, which is nice for the price and is great for getting the orientation down, but it does not compare to EasyFly3. (or RF and APD for that matter)
