Check out the footage with the plane they used to drop research devices into the inflow of a developing tornado. Great stuff!

LOL - well I can guarantee you the size of the plane helps, but it would still be a big challenge with the crosswind. I'm betting one day research teams will be launching small radio control planes with instrument packages to be "sacrificed" to the tornadoes. Kind of like twister with a more feasible plot. :D

That has to be one of the greatest and coolest videos I've seen just because of the subject and the success.
