I Dident see any law where you have to build ANY KIND of boat to post here.
We can have fun at his expense, for posting this, but he's a good addition here :)
It's easy to sound nasty in text format, even when you dont mean it.

I don't know if the Idaho is a destroyer or not, but my comment is sincere- when Foo is able to get to his project, I'm sure it will be a good one!

You are at least getting materials ready. I am still working with CAD programs on my model of the steam tug Portland. I have redesigned the boiler 5 times now. Did do a print out of the hull the other day and it is just shy of 6' without the paddle wheel that will add another 10" or so.
Keep us posted

Foo,
If you cut the 8 foot 2X4 in half you can make a cat.

it wouldn't be that hard to really rack up some posts. Although the administrators would probably get pretty mad over their server traffic. I won't be surprised if this doesn't get me a warning. It was just foolin around!

Well, gratz on the 1k mark Foo. The others here seem to have taken you to the shed enough.
I don't even have an operational 2x4 but I think my Frankenpede (Highly modified Stampede Monster Truck) would probably float on it's balloon E-Maxx tires so I guess I can claim to have a 2 wheel drive paddlewheel boat shaped like a truck that works on the water.
p.s. Now that I think about it, I could land my EZ Star on the water and it would float, probably make a nice pontoon plane...

I have seen an article of someone souping up an easystar and putting on floats I will try and find the article. Thinking on it I have the same four paddle river boat that you do (my E-Maxx) I know that I run it across the loose power snow and sprintime slop in my yard it ought to float.....

I threatened to put pontoons on my EZ* several times in the EZ* thread. I'd have to pull it out of it's box and do it. I haven't flown it in a LONG time. I'm so rusty I'd probably depend on its near unlimited crashability to get me back into the air.

I have a blade MCX if it weren't for the gyro I couldn't keep that in the air either.
