Here is a 1948 ELCO 35'. Scale 1" =1' I enlarged the plans from an old Marine Models kit plans. Has twin motors and steering servo ready for R/C running.
Boat was scratch built. Color of deck and cabin roof is Krylon satin Jade.

A beautiful model of an interesting prototype; we don't see many civilian Elcos. A good choice of scale too, in my opinion.

Now that's a plan set that ought to be out there and available to builders.

There are a lot of interesting boats from the 20's to the 50's that cry for plans to be available, Pat. ;)
But where would you find them---? :o

Beautiful boat Bill. I have those plans, very well done, maybe someday. It is a sleek boat and it was based on the 77' Elco PT hull scaled down.

Sweet! :D
What color is that? Is it a can spray paint? I was thinking of a light yellow for my current project...but I really like that.

Jerome, I understand that these publications are long gone---. :(
A former member of our club had acquired a number of old issues of "Rudder"
during a remodeling job several years ago. ;)
Would it be worth following up on this to see if he still has them? :o

The Rudder Treasury
I have a copy and the answer is Yea! Good reading to get a feel for how these boats were enjoyed 'in period'- Not so many drawings in this one- more accounts of cruising and racing both power and sail-
Another book that is full of drawings, published by wooden boat is "Designs to Inspire"- Most are simple drawings, many of which were originally printed in The Rudder... also a Yea! if you are looking for a book of designs to er, inspire you- :)
