View Full Version : NEAT fair Still On!

Despite todays events in NYC, the NEAT fair is still planned to be held as scheduled this weekend
Sept 14,15,16th.

The only thing we may have a problem with is workers. It may be difficult to get off Long Island
on Thursday and Friday for the SEFLI crew.

If anyone would like to lend a hand, please come see Tom or Bob at the HQ tent when you arrive,
hope many of you can still come.

Thanks
Tom

Tom,

Thanks for the update. After the shock wears off, many of us will be glad to lend a hand this weekend.

Glad to hear it's still on, Tom.

If I can get there still, I'll be happy to lend a hand if required.

Tom, can you tell me the nearest major airport and what kind of weather is expected? Thanks

Glad to here its still on Tom, I will be there and if you need a hand just give a yell over the loud speakers. I am sure myself and many more will jump in. I also would like to request in light of what has happened today that a moment of silence and our National Anthem be played at the NEAT fair between 9:00 am and 12:00
We will stand proud and do stand proud to be Americans and nothing will ever bring our Stars and Stripes down.

Everyone please second the request.
Capt. Dave

Gordon - Montreal is not a whole lot farther than JFK or Newark airports especiay considering the distance you will be traveling.

Thanks for the timely note Tom. I was planning on going to Albany tomorrow morning and then to NEAT on Thursday. I'll probably be there fairly early in the afternoon so if you need help, just give me a bellow.

This sort of makes me wish I was back on active duty instead of retired.

Kevin - thanks for the suggestion, but I had already considered that. I'm afraid that it's a non-starter at the moment.

Hope you all have fun at NEAT - hope to be there next year.

We at Hobby Lobby regret that we won't be attending NEAT this year due to the terrible events of this week. We were looking forward to being there and unveiling a number of new planes to our E-flying friends and customers.
I hope that you have good weather and a safe event. To our customers, I hope that you have a fine weekend and we will look for you next year. Please keep checking our website www.hobby-lobby.com for all of the new stuff that we were going to bring to NEAT.

Thanks,

Mike Hines

I was about to ask how many other vendors are unable to get there... I assume anyone from Canada may have difficulty. Do we know other vendors unable to attend?

I can't get there due to the airline situation. I was going to be at the Radical RC booth which, to the best of my knowlege, will be there. Dave at Radical RC might still have some DuskStiks but by the time I realized I couldn't make it, I didn't have time to get any UrbanFlyers to him. Sorry. I am trying to get one of my beta testers to get his UrbanFlyer there for display.

To all who make it there, do me a favor and have a fantastic time. Don't let these terrorists get the best of us.

Respectfully,

Doug Binder

I had hoped to pop down for Saturday only, but, as I understand it, there are still significant delays at the border at Buffalo.

I will have to see what the other local Canadian E-flyers are doing.

If I don't wind up making it, have a great event!
