FlightPass Coverage of XFC 2009

We arrived first thing this morning and mostly we filmed all day. I have tons yet to edit but I did manage to get 11 films cut and posted. The weather was very good with partly cloudy skys most of the day. (My favorite for filming). We saw Ido again for the first time in two years, Heather hung out with Seth, RJ and Jamie, way cool team flights and loads more. See what we've posted so far here:

Hey Fred, it looks like you guys had a great trip!! I am jealous that Heather got to ride a Segway (sp?) that looks to be the ultimate flight field transport :-)

Once again you guys have done a killer job catching the excitement for those of us stuck at home...but I expected no less.

Heather, I love the silhouette of you against the sky. That is a perfect start to some great night flying!

A few pics from Sunday. Awesome flying. The final heli flight from 15yo Jamie Robertson was absolutely SICK low. I haven't posted yet but will soon. He got a zero cause he touched his blades. (The line judge actually checks blades for skuffing after a questionably low flight). Jamie was bummed with the zero, but he still placed first. The pilots get younger and younger and the skills get higher and higher. Wow.

Ya'll are making me jealous. I wish I could have been there. Looks like it was another kickin event! Cool to see Heather take on the big cam! Heather, you need to make it out to Eden on the 4th of July... I hear Fred is going to be a dirty self absorbed sponge an miss out on it. Funny, I was doing some soldering the other day and had to put some water on that sponge you use to keep the soldering iron tip clean and started laughing since it was kinda dirty nasty looking :)

I don't know how you do it, to be able hold a camera steady all day long, then do all the editing and uploading. You must really love it.


What you charge for Flightpass is a real deal, IMHO!

BTW, I might be changing my tag line soon. I've almost gotten over you killing my Hoverdisk. Almost. :D

HAHA Fred is always a dirty self absorbing sponge..:). I would love to make it to Eden on July 4th! Matt and I will def try to get up there! I love coming to Eden and seeing everyone!! Hopefully we'll make it there! I'm glad that my stupid sponge joke is going aLOT further than I thought it would! YAY!

That thing that I rode..which I guess is a Segway (what you said) was SOO fun! I was staring at it like all day and FINALLY he saw that I was AMAZED by it and he let me AND Fred ride it! You should be jealous that thing was too cool! ;)
I love the silhouette too..that was Fred's idea...but I guess it wouldn't look as cool without ME in the shot, huh?!

Okay guys..so XFC has COME and GONE..wow. I can't believe it is over! I had sooo much fun being there hangin' out with all those great pilots and people. This was my frist XFC and I had a BLAST!! It was great seeing some familiar faces and even better meeting new ones, too. I TRIED to run the big rig camera..and I DO apologize for those of you who will complain..but I try my best and I SWEAR I will work on it. For those pilots that I was filming, I am sorry if I lost you here and there..filming airplanes and helicopters are ALOT HARDER than it looks! I just want to thank everyone who supports Flightpass/HPP and everyone who loves and appreciates what we do. Fred works endlessly to give you guys the best quality..and me, well, I work hard too! :) Please yall..take the time to keep an OPEN MIND and check out all of our hard work. We do it for YALL..and we'd be nothing without ya!

I've added 12 more films to FlightPass since yesterday. There are now 22 films from the Saturday morning known round including the flight of 6 year old Justin Chi. Just amazing that this kid is competing at this level. It would seem it's just a matter of time before he's Champion.

What a value your service brings to us R/C enthusiasts. Without this service bringing the event into my home in nearly real-time I'd be relegated to waiting for one of the magazines to cover the event with a page or two.
