Quick question.

Which would you prefer?

900 MHz 12 dbi Patch
900 MHz 12 dbi Yagi

Just thought I would ask as I have never tried a Yagi for the telemetry....

Chris

Convince Dean to design an auto-tracker then go with the Yagi.

While you're at it design a Yagi for 1280 as well. Tucson Police, Fire and hospitals are all on 900.
Thanks,
Neal

There's a dutch guy (Sander) at the FPV section who already has a direction system. He invented with others (I believe) the EZ-line.

You are correct but in order to have the EZ tracking system it requires you buy the $300.00(Correction $219.00) OSD unit on top of the $100+ hardware board. This does not include the pan tilt setup......

But again you are correct there is that option.

I think I might be tempted to go vertical and put that on a telescopic pole.

Also make sure my ground station was on the highest bit of ground around.

Guess it all depends on the distance required, within VLOS nothing fancy is needed.

Also lowering the frequency used will help, not going up ;-)

Just to be fair, that would be the $219 OSD unit (which includes the GPS and current sensor).

Thanks for the correction. Not bashing the product by any means, just be really nice if you were able to accept NEMA from our ground station.
