Single Conversion Rec & Dual Conversion Xtal.

I was sent a Hitec single conversion receiver and also a Dual Conversion crystal. If I were to try to use this rec. with the dual conversion crystal
what would be the expected results?

Since there is no current fron the battery going throught the crystal I think there would be No damage to the receiver - even if it didn't work???

It will not damage the receiver if you put in the wrong crystal, it just won't work.

It won't work. The receiver is expecting a crystal frequency 455Khz different from the channel frequency and you're giving it one which is 10.7MHz different.

It won't do any damage though, as thousands of modellers have already found out ;).

but, the previous posters are right...will not work for the reasons they mention.
