A British Army Elbit Systems Hermes 450 unmanned air vehicle had a near miss with a Boeing CH-47 Chinook while on operations in Afghanistan, Flight can reveal. About half way through the 37s video the Chinook comes into view and grows larger in the left hand side of the frame

Here's the money shot to save on the world wide wait. Who knows if it was at an airport or if the UAV was even flying. No other detail is visible.

The guy in the background said:
"It's all important we comply with our own airspace"
Couldn't make out the rest.

Wow
The Chinook was in the wrong...........
"The UAV was one of mine...waiting to come into land," says British Army Royal Artillery 32 regiment, 42 battery commander, Matt Moore. In the video, the helicopter, carrying an underslung load, comes into the left side of the frame, growing larger before it changes direction. Moore indicated that the near miss was the fault of the Chinook pilot and that after the event discussions were had about improving air space management.
Silly me for thinking otherwise.
I wonder if that is the first recorded manned incident against a UAV, other than shootdowns
I would have thought a basic rule of the air would be unmanned gives way to manned??

I was thinking more along the lines of was that the first time a manned aircraft has been accused of getting in the way of a UAV??
