I recently made a trip "home" to St. Thomas in the USVI for a week and as always took pictures of various boats and ships when I could. Thought I would post a few here to share and maybe inspire others to build.

Hey Mon;
Some really big ships there but the Evening Star looks interesting for R/C. That water is so clear. Hard to imagine that when you see the water around here. Pete

Seeing the pics of the dock at Frenchman's Reef and the one of Water Island bring back a lot of memories. Nice Shots!

We were just down there last February, looking out from the veranda on one of those cruise ships. :)
Really nice to visit the tropics, and forget the crappy northern winters---. ;)

When were you there?

You'll make me cry. My favorite place in the world, not that I've been to all the places in the world, is Bequia off of St. Vincent. Been there a lot but not for a while. I see they've built an airport. Good for the economy but bad for my tastes. To easy for tourists now. Used to take two days from NY to get there. Ah, the peace and quiet. :( My main system name is Bequia WI.

I'm not seeing any more boat/ship pictures here. What's up with that? Pete

Lucky! I love the USVI/BVI, I used to make daily trips from St. Thomas or Red Hook to Hans Lollick island, what a great commute!

What's it like there this time of year? I don't know how far these islands are from where I live but as hot and humid as it is here it must be unbearable there. Pete

It is hot there this time of year and getting hotter, but the daily noon time rain shower makes it nice for the rest of the day....

That one with the 2 fins and connecting wing is weird. I would think it would get logs stuck in there. What's the thinking behind that design? :confused:

Why Han Lollick? Nothing there as far as I know?
Norgale the weather this time of year is hot with some humdity ( it's an island surrounded by water) but a rain shower generally cools things off some.

It is ahydronamic wing to keep the bronk from rolling too much, but amazzingly enough, logs do not get caught under there as they are pushed from the sides and they are not small in any way shape or form. ;)
