Can someone tell which is best for planking a hull with balsa?
I am planning on building an International One Meter sailboat. I see the guys across the pond use Ponal Express. It is a white glue that dries clear, but I don't think it is exactly "Elmers".
Appreciate the input ...

I used medium CA for mine. The frames were foam board. I edged glued each plank about a foot at a time. Hold with your fingers a few seconds and use kicker when needed. A pin or two in the tricky spots. Remember, it's all going to get glassed later.

This is good timing as I have been worried about my choice in glue. I have
almost completed building the Sequin (all wood),and have used mostly "Weldbond".

I found that the PVA glues make sanding dificult as they are "rubbery" My best success has been mixing epoxy resin with a good quantity of micro-balloons(consistency of butter), this makes the epoxy sand as easily as the balsa.

Here are some links that you might find helpful.
Glue answer site general (http://www.thistothat.com/)
US maker and can be found in most big box/craft stores (http://www.beacon1.com/) Have used a number of the products
Weldbond a great multi use adhesive (http://www.weldbondusa.com/) this is a great water proofer
Another great assortment of adhesives (http://www.biosafe-inc.com/e6000.htm) Love the e6000 use it for a lot of things
GooP enough said (http://www.naturalhandyman.com/iip/infadh/infgoo.html) The adhesive duct tape
This stuff is great since it is designed to last for eternity don't let the heading for funeral homes and taxidermy fool or scare you (http://tech-bond.net/) You may want to change the book mark header as it is called page 1 when it shows up in your file.
I have no interest in any of the above, other than a satisfied long time user of some 25 years in some cases. Having built props magic and other work for hire for over 30 years.
