Rescue boat or parts for one

I don't have any boat gear - transmitters/receivers/etc., but I fly electric planes and am looking for something to make a rescue boat out of for when I fly a Catalina. I've been looking at buying something awful at ToysRus or similar, but I'm pretty sure that would be a nightmare. Anyone got some old cheap gear that might work?

I went to ebay and got a Coleman inflatable 2 man boat with oars for $40..I doubt you will be able to make anything or buy anything that will work as well for less than that--and it is pretty much fool proof in operation....

Some lakes don't allow inflatable rafts so you have to watch.

I don't believe I can use one of those where I've been flying. It's an isolated area that is just off of/connected to a river. The water is good but it's all considered "river" and I don't think inflatable craft are allowed there. I've heard there are guys that do RC boats somewhere on the river, so I think I'd be fine using one.
