hi , i am student of final year electronics and i have chosen the project of designing esc for sensorless bldc .i have knowledge about avr controller but havent idea about the controlling of bldc.can anyone help me to come out of this problem.thanks in advance :)

here you go, one of our illustrious members "Ron van Sommeren" has this thread with tons of information for people to use about the brushless ESC's.

'Illustrious', I like the sound of it :)
Also a nice discussion heating up on the EVtech mailing list I hope, about designing a BLDC controller with sinusoidal commutation instead of trapezoid commutation for RC purposes:

Excellent ongoing discussion here in the diy electronics forum, lots of good reading:

hi Ron van Sommeren
can you please tell me or if you can give me the basic block diagram of esc so i will be cleared in my vision from where should i start

Sure wish I had the internet when I was in school. Actually had to go to the library and do some research when doing my senior project.
Anyway, basic principle of BLDC controller is very simple. Most are 3 phase so need 3 power drivers. Then you need to activate the drivers in the proper sequence and at the proper time so you need some feedback from the motor to know its position. Feedback can come from optical or magnetic sensors or as in most RC applications can be done without additional sensors. There are various techniques for sensorless feedback most involving EMF induced in the motor coils. Then all you need is a microcontroller or dedicated logic to take in the feedback and activate the power drivers at the proper time.
If you just want to be a cut and paste designer, here is an app note that will tell you enough to do it. http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/AppNotes/00857a.pdf

I remember there are several block/flow diagrams, lots of design considerations and zero-crossing detection methods in this excellent active discussion:
