Fms question

Hi guys,

I know there are many disscussions about getting fms to work with vista, and I've combed through many forums and site and cant seem to find the answer. Whenever I run it, it immediatly says, without a window popping up...

"Execption EComPort in Module FMS.exe at 008AFEC.
Registry error (win error code:2)."

If anyone knows whats going on, or can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!

The error message would indicate your system is missing a COM-port, like most recent computers do. The solution is to mimick this device via a registry fix, described in detail here (http://n.ethz.ch/~mmoeller/fms/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3584) and here (http://n.ethz.ch/~mmoeller/fms/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4813).

I dunno why but when i open control panel, there is no "Hardware" icon just "Add Hardware" and the add hardware wizard doesnt follow the instructions he posted...
