Hello All,

My dad recently gave me one of these types of boats. I thought, before I got it, that it would be all put together. But it is in LOTS of pieces. It is a bigger job than I am going to be able handle, so I would like to put it in somebody's hands that knows what to do with it.

Anybody interested?

Hi,

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I had a problem with my password. I will put some pics up tonight or tomorrow. I am in Nashville, Tennessee. As far as the price goes, I really have no idea what this thing is worth. My goal is to get it into the hands of somebody who knows what to do with it and will make it work. I will make it a very good deal though. Do you have any idea what it is worth?

Hi, I dont have any idea what the value would be. I checked Ebay for finished auctions and I found a 90% finished #1100 with radio and it sold for $385.00 Here is the link.

I have one of these - bought it when my son was 11 or so, now he's 32! Same - thing, lots of parts. I do have the manuals though if you've misplaced yours. Have a look at some of the websites - possibly worth quite a lot more to replace it. If I recall you'd buy the boat kit, fittings kit, kompact drives, list went on.

Hey TD; That's a nice looking boat but doesn look to have anything unusual about it. Why don't you take a stab at building it yourself? It will give you a great sense of accomplishment and then you won't be so reticent about doing another and another like all the rest of us. I must say that the building is the best part of owning an R/C boat and once you develope a few skills you'll be hooked also like the rest of us. It's really a great hobby but nobody starts off "knowing" how to build. Give it another try. You won't be dissapointed. Pete

I agree with Norgale,
I built one of these boats 15 yrs ago. It was a Christmas gift from my now deceased in-laws. I have had so much fun tinkering with it over all these years
and the technologies have improved. I still am improving its insides.
I would be happy to help you with any problems that come up and email pictures.
Unless you are really short on money I would suggest you build it.
If you really need the money. Sell the accessories separate from the kit to get best prices from EBAY. When you sell as package with motor drives, gear motors-things bought extra from basic kit- there are limited buyers on ebay and you generally get a lower overall price than if you sell as one.

It is a very nice boat and a real crowd pleaser at shows.

He obviously likes the kit. He should gladly help you.

If you really are not in love with the boat, a real possibilty, tell him.

The boat WILL take a TON of time to put MOST of the pieces together.

I aggree with the last couple of posts - if all the parts are there - jump in. Perhaps start off with the fire monitors - see how it goes. You can divide it into sections and it won't look so daunting. Lots of help through these pages if you get stuck along the way. Good luck with it.
