off topic. todays hike.

well i just got back from a hike up to a lake called lake 22. beautiful. 2.5 miles. 5mi round trip. actually got my wife and oldest son to go also. the hike started at about 1400' and finished at 2475'. gorgeous day here in wa. nuff talk on to pics.

Beautiful! I used to hike a lot in the mountain ranges above Los Angeles. I miss it.

was a fun hike. i have not been there since i was about 10-12yrs old. over 40 now. much different. but worth the hike none the less. maybee next time the springer could take a hike with me. she is down at the moment as i robbed some gear out of her for the wyeforce. but she will be up and runnin again soon.

The Lake 22 is a heck of an elevation change...

I literally had to stop on the last switch back because my legs
just could not take another step. We rested for about 20 seconds, and
my friends said, "okay lets go...". And I had to request another 20 seconds... :rolleyes:

Then when we got to the lake, they didn't want to stay, or even hike around the lake.
They just turned around and went back down...

Yep, that's western Washington alright. Fabulous scenery, great recreational opportunities.
