I am new to FPV and I am going to get my first video system from hobbywireless, wonder which of these cameras is better? I will be using DX7/AR7000 and no other electronics (GPS, autopilot, etc...) onboard, do I need to worry about the RF noise of SN777 encountered by others? SN777 has a greater "effective pixels" as shown in the spec, what that really means?

I just got in the SN550 Petite and love it, although I'm out a tx and rx right now I can't check it out long enough on the video to see and judge for FPV. When I hook it up directly to my tv its great. Note, I have no experience with the SN777.

The early AR7000 is not a good receiver for FPV. You need failsafes set on each channel to fly safe FPV if you plan on going out of visual range. I heard that you can have the firmware fixed in the AR7000 to get this feature if you have an older one, but I have not confirmed that. Call Horizon and ask them.

Thanks guys for your info.
Mike, I plan to stay within visual range, and I just bought my DX7/AR7000 a few days ago in a local hobby shop, so the new one should be ok?
