They have people called trade operators in the far eastern countries. Their job is to join forums and and data harvest prospects. Some times this just means copying the e mail addys of members. Other times this means spending all the time they are online and in the forum cutting and pasting spam for each private message or the group function if the forum supports it. That's why if you compared the join dates of the members that received them they would close together.

I noticed a Chinese member of another forum that I am a moderator on spending all the time on line in the forum membership listing. Now I have read it and it doesn't make for great reading! Not 6 to 8 hours at a time. Did a google search on the user name and found out a lot of stuff about her.

Including her new job as a TRADE OPERATOR that she loved. She was in a chat room that other trade operators hung out in and made plans to get together for a beer etc. :D

I banned her almost in mid send as she was on line. She messaged me and I told her we don't tolerate spam! She wrote back that it was just a her job and she liked to eat too!

Go figured not all of them are planning to take over the world, some are just working for their 3 bowls of rice day and a couple of Bud's on Friday night.

So that's how it happens with the PM's. We also have had US companies that are trolling for work. They have their employees,joining forums any forums and posting answers that make no sense, but have an e mail addy in them. The one company we contacted about it said that he figured it was better than laying off people. Since the work was real slow coming in. And figured they might get lucky.
