This 1926 Johnson outboard motor has been in my possession for 20yrs and would start on the 2nd pull when I last started it (about 5yrs ago). I once brought it into a Johnson dealer and was informed one sold for $14,000 at auction in mint condition. I have tried to confirm this and could not so I started watching E-Bay a few years ago to try and put a value on it. I did see a few but nothing near as good of shape of mine. The most I have seen one sell for was $1,100 and was not in as good shape. Reproduction decals are available on the internet.
To put the age of this item into perspective, They were still building NEW Steam Locomotives when Johnson manufactured this! Will consider all trades or cash offers. I am into the unique and obscure so don't be afraid to offer weird trades as long as it's within the same value range. Kinda looking for a Zenoah Powered boat...
