An elderly lady gave me this fus belonging to her late husband, it has been in her garage for twenty years, the only clue I have is that her husband wass friend of Chris Foss and used to fly at the nationals.

Looks very much like the fuselages Nick Wright used to use on his F3b models back in the early 90's. I don't remember the name he used, perhaps it was Electra? I don't remember, but I do remember the T-tail looking very much like that.

I'm not much help unfortunately, if you sent a photo to Chris he might be able to tell you, takes a wee while to reply but he's a busy chap, include your phone number and he might ring you, that's what he did when I wrote a letter.

Similar size and profile to the Multi Phase I have been building: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1011249

Perhaps it was from the same era (1986 ish).

Looks like it was for a bolt on wing? I have got some old MAP/Nexus plans handbooks that might have a lead, quite distinctive upright fin on that fuse.

Cheers

Gary

Malc, that's almost certainly a Nick Wright "Electra" fuz. :)

No, sorry, not an 'Electra'. The canopy and wing cover moulding were all one on those. This one seems to have the wing uncovered across the c/s.

Is it one of the early Czech imports?

I intend to fit 2m Algebra style wings to this fus and am thinking of an all moving tailplane mounted atop the fin. I have seen somewere a picture of a cradle mounting for this type of tailplane has anyone a picture or diagram of one?
