Given that I usually fly in a small group of people, having an extra person to tally points is tricky. I guess I tend to favor the last one in the air type of combat.

If you go to "Just a guide for our rules" you"ll see how we keep score and track of things when we fly. Very simple system to use, we have been using this for over 3 years now and has worked very well for us. Listed are the full Contact and our Fast & Furious rules.

would like to consider 3s only because using A123 at 2 cells is a bit low power. 3S Lipo may be too much for the motors though

The Muncie Guys have standardized on 2 LIPOs

my testing uses 2 lipos...

Your screwed either way really..

Either you do higher KV motors and a 2S
or lower KV motors and a 3S

I would tend to say 3S myself because there are plenty of spots where you can get 1000mA 3S or something for like 10 bucks.

For safty I would say No to Lipo.

My favorite (bullet proof setup) is a 3s A123 2300 MAH with a 80 gram motor swinging a 7 x 5 prop at 20-30 amps

48" wing.

I have one that has been in 100's of serious hits.
