Our local clubs are groups of combat fanatics. I see several members posting here. We have a yearly gathering of the combat clubs in our area. From the North we have the Northern Alliance, also known as the Yankees with their Mascot Darth Vader (from post #1) and the Southerners known as the Rebels and I guess I am General Lee. We have quite a rivalry with a lot of trash talk that is as fun as the combat.

In the South we fly combat twice a week on most weeks and we do fly other planes too before and after the combat. I like combat because everyone participates at the same time. No one is left out or having to wait. Some times it is the beginners that have the most "hits". It is far more social than scale or parkflying. We arrive together and leave together.

We are so into the combat we have two flying wing manufacturers, Crashtesthobby and Extremewing that compete with their planes on the combat field on a weekly basis. Any brand of pusher plane can compete including Strykers and Unicorns and all the rest.

Not to be outdone I will add my piece from a combat Fly-In from last Saturday we call the Un-Civil War. To fly combat you are required to have a rear mounted motor to decrease risk to other pilots and their planes. We use no streamers. It's head to head combat!!!

One video shows a free for all with about 40 planes. The other two show Combat Limbo. You win by scoring 10 points. You get two points for going between the ropes and one for going under. It's on the honor system so you know what that means!!!!! :eek: We also do bomb drops and formation flying with intentional contact if we can.

They were custom cut for the guys flying them, next time I see them I will see if I can get more info. I do believe that they are not a "kit" though.

We had our fourth UnCivil War where the Yankees from the north invaded the Rebels of the South and we played some combat games. hopefully other members of the group will get their videos posted from the same event.
