Unfortunately I placed an order with Hobby-Lobby International on April 23, 2009 for various items and their new so-called improved ball linkages. I received a box from them 4 days later and found that the two packages of ball links were missing. I filed a caes with their customer support and got this:

>Thank you for submitting your question to us online.

>Case #00030554: "Items missing from order" has been created and a >Hobby-Lobby representative will get back to you as quickly as possible.

I then got this email:

>I have two packs headed your way. Sorry for the mix up.

>Is there anything else we can help you with today?

>Thanks,

>Robert Harrington

>Your comment:

>I received a package via USPS today for my order #9062S090423 and one >line item (#4) was missing. Everything else is fine.

>This was missing and there was no paper or anything in the box to indicate >it was backordered:

>#4 10 Threaded Ball Links [#HLH813]
>Quantity 2 x $9.90 = $19.80

I waited a week and still nothing, so I emailed them again and got this:

>I have two packs of links headed your way.

>Robert Harrington | Customer Support
>P: 615.732.7219

Ok, so then I ask for a tracking number and got this:

>Unfortunately, USPS has no tracking means.

>Robert Harrington | Customer Support
>P: 615.732.7219

Then I just ask for credit for the missing items (it's clear the guy did't even read my request):

>Hello,
>I have no way to cancel your order. It is already in the mail headed your >way.

>Robert Harrington | Customer Support
>P: 615.732.7219

So here it is Friday May 15th, they have my money and I still have no parts.

I am going to open a report on www.ripoffreport.com to warn others. Ripoff reports has been able to resolve customer problems before. I know there are many others that are experiencing similar issues with Hobby-Lobby International lately and I encourage you to add your own reports there.

Hobby-Lobby International is now owned by Mark A. Cleveland out of Nashville, TN. I will be looking for his personal contact info as well.

I don't believe in giving away money for nothing.

I think it's time they start showing actual stock numbers on the site, like Hobby City does. They often take a long time to get back orders shipped also, but they want to make sure the customer knew that they had a chance of not getting what showed as "in stock" at the time of their order. Of all things, I am confident that their in-stock numbers are correct, versus trusting the site to be accurately representing items as in-stock, or out-of-stock.

Just to get this situation straight, do you have reason to believe the items were not in-stock, when they showed as in-stock?

Not HL, but there are some sites where everything is always in stock, which seems odd.

When I placed my original order the item showed it was in-stock, beyond that the customer service guy said he had shipped them (twice). I even sent my address again in case they had it incorrect. They do have stock numbers.
