Bob,
Good on you for shipping to APOs. So many businesses will not and we overseas love to fly too.
Thank you and great prices

John; Yes, bphobbies.com ships to APO addresses. I can remember that they
shipped FREE to APO. Don't know if it's still in effect. If you order, the check out invoice will indicate if the free shipping is still valid. At that point, you can still cancell the order, if it's not free shipping. Happy flying.

Is there a main thread on this? I tried the search but keep coming back with other Storches.

Looks like a good plane to really "scale out".
Do you plan to add details and paint?
It just caught my attention in the AMA mag ad today. At this size, it should be a better flyer than the park flyer size they currently have. I thought about getting that one of those, but already have a 24" Guillows Storch. If I bought another, I would want one much larger like this new one.

You and I seem to have similar tastes in planes! Your Storch is beautiful! Whats the ws?
Depending on what it looks like, I will add some scale details. At the least a weathering job.

Would love to see some pictures when you get yours together.
It looked nice at the Toledo Show as evident by the picture in Model Aviation.

Just got delivered. Guys this thing is nice! Good news on the covering. The bottom is not clear but grey. A quick look reveals an attached greehouse canopy with frame already painted. I am at work so could only take a quick peek but I have to say I am excited.

Hi,
I saw the photo in MA and just ordered one. I've been looking for a medium sized STOL model and this looks like a beauty.

I had a chance to check it out more indepth last night. The bottom of the wing/fuse is really light grey or white depending on the light. All the parts look laser cut and the fit and finish is really nice. The covering was very tight with no wrinkles either.

CAUTION:
I received my package on Saturday. The hinges on the wings are held together with loosely tightened screws and nuts. Some of the tiny hardware came apart during shipment. When opening the wing bags be careful not to lose any hardware.
Battery changing will be interesting, the top of the canopy must be removed with 4 screws and there's not much room to get a hand in there.
Thanks,
Vince

You have to remove screws to access a battery?

I haven't started my build yet and it might be a little while till I do. It apeears you do have to remove some screws to get to the battery however if I look at it long enough, I am sure there is another way.
