Hi all,
I finally have the modded out Gentle Lady built and ready for covering. There have been enough GL build logs so I will just hit the changes.
Fuse:
all servos etc. in front of the wing.
1" nose extention just because we had an extra nose block. The battery is into the nose block as far as possible.
Pull pull rudder control, this is easy to do and saves tail weight.
CF fishing pole elevator push rod with less wire at the tail end to save weight.
very light glass over the nose for strength.
tow hook custom made with an allen head bolt and a blind nut/ wing nut /and threaded end sticks up into fuse 1" to secure balast.

Wing:
used AG airfoils same as Allegro lite from the free plans on Charlesriverrc.org site. profili airfoil program to draw up ribs allowed using the stock LE and TE with some planing down.
full thickness spar to the tips used the bass wood that comes with for the bottom and added medium balsa 1/4 square for the top of the spars. Carbon fiber tape top and bottom.
full sheeting for a D tube all the way to the tips. 1 " behind spar on top and to the back of the spar on the bottom.
sheeting over the top and bottom of the LE then planed and sanded to shape for a laminated LE for strength. 1/16 balsa corners at TE for each rib do to thinner TE.
spoilers with individual small servos on a Y harness built in.
we made our own Y harness with out plugs in the wing using two long extensions.
I would do one thing differently . I would use very small tri-stock on the front and back of the spar to attach the ribs to.

note:
This cord is the same as the GL, wider than the Alegro lite wing. I hope this equals more lift!

Wow ozmo, looks like a great ship! What's your color scheme going to be? This wing should be tough as nails!

well I finally have the Gentle Lady bash balanced andready for a maiden.
I call it "Witched Woman" and put a little black witch sillouhette on the wing.
The local forcast is for 20 mph wind with 30 mph gusts. Maiden will have to wait

Well with lots of funky weather and work etc holding back the first flight I finally got her in the air today. It needed just one click of up trim on the hand toss trim flights :D . Then we fired up the Telemaster with the cradle and went for it.
MAN am I happy with this bird! It was a joy to fly. Lift was scarce but I managed ten minutes on the first flight. It penatrates well with just a click of down. It is not real speady but it can cover ground well to find new areas of lift.
Turns are fairly flat and easy. I need more practice with thermal turns though.
Now for lots of practice! :)
