hi guys,

I have a mode 2 tx , is there anyway i can make the left stick action be the same as the right stick ?

Or is there someone out there that can do this for me ?

I own a Stylus, but would switch brands if need be.

This is not for flying, but for another project i'm working on.

Heck, might as well show you.
i'm going to make this remote control.

thx,

Try removing the spring from the right stick.

Try removing the spring from the right stick.

the right stick is how i want both of them, i need the spring action up & down.

i see after looking inside i need some hardware to make it work.

i'll check with Airtronics and see if they will add it.

dave.

Why use a Stylus which is an aircraft transmitter? Wouldn't it be better to start with a transmitter on the 75mhz surface band, or a 2.4ghz transmitter, which doesn't have a frequency band dedicated aircraft useage?

Maybe he got a "HOT" contract with the Russians to clean up Cherynobl accident site :D

Okay now to be more serious you can add a spring to the left stick to make it just like the right stick. contact Airtronics they sell the spring you need.

Futaba makes radio controls for a wide range industrial applications not just R/C hobbies. May want to query them...

Stylus can go either way.
Just remove the rachet lever, and order the spring - already has the attachment point if you open the back you'll see - easy!!!!!

The stylus will allow you the modify set points etc....
For your initial testing this should suffice until you have enough funds for the "Industrial Surface Version" which is very different. Drop Wurts a line - he might have some insights on what is available and would suite your needs DOD stuff and the like.

There is a difference between 'Futaba-RC' and 'Futaba' (and a difference in prices too) for a good reason. FCC regulations state that amateur and hobby applications must accept interference. FCC regs may also protect hobby spectrum, but it doesn't change the core that hobby must accept loss of frequency. That is not true for industrial uses; and industrial use is exactly what dhauch is proposing.

Reality may have grey areas, but law draws a (sometimes arbitrary) bright line. For RC airplane hobbyists, there are weight limits, distance limits, etc. Whether a 30-pound, 100-mph aircraft that lost its radio control is more a hazard than a 3000-pound, 10-mph loader is not my argument . . . the argument was made years ago and is settled. For legal, liability, and practical reasons I believe it is foolhardy to control commercial or industrial equipment with hobbyist gear.

all of the industrial remotes look to be push button control that i've seen.

which would limit to only two movments at once, from (what I can tell).

with a r/c tx, i would be able to to do four movements at once, and thats what i need.
plus i would be nice to have expo and dual rates.

thx guys for the info really appreciate it.

if i did get my flap stick with the spring action like the right stick, i would need that travel to start from centered like on the right stick and not like the stock flap servo is now.

can this problem be worked out ?

I would think a point mix would be able to do that.

You might want to ask this question in the boat section. Some of the boat guys run 12-14 channels on their boats. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
