The new DRagonus II PLus heli arrived yesterday and I was surprised as heck to open the box and see a broken off flypaddle. The complete flybar and paddles have to be replaced. It is very difficult to resolve the problem with HL, as they do not have phone support, and so far my request for
service by e-mail has not gotten a response. I am hoping for a reponse today, and if not, I will return the merchansise as defective. MIke S

Dear Jason, I called Brian. He was not available and there was no call back. I will request an RMA to return the heli. I'm disgusted with HL.

Just to be fair, I finally got a call from Brian this morning who promised a replacement heli, once I return the broken heli with the supplied RMA. Let's hope this goes well.

Hobby Lobby maybe should examine what some other mail order companies do about defectives and returns. I ordered a camera from a company in Alabama -- price $149 -- and it didn't work. I called them and they said that they'd send me a new camera at once along with a shipping label for me to return the defective one. The old idea of "RMA's" is kind of out of date for mail order today.

Sorry to disagree, but there are people that make a dishonest living off "shipping label" returns that are to be packed back in the same carton the replacement arived in. HP used to do that with their computer parts, but now also only ship a replacement once the defective unit is received. If there's a way to abuse the system it will be done, and the honest ones have to put up with the more inconvenient policy changes that result.

But to simply return a defective item you should not have to wait for authorization.

I'm still having problems with Hobby Lobby. After sending back the defective Dragonus, they still have not supplied a replacement and have not responded to my e-mails regarding when the replacement will be shipped.

HL did take back the broken heli and supply a new replacement Dragonus, which arrived today. It looks OK. MIke
