We had our Navy day at the club today & I just thought I'd post a few pics.
There were members from other clubs in South East Queensland & Brisbane with some pretty awesome ships. Some pretty big ones with rockets, torpedoes, depth charges & firing guns.
Here's a sample.

What a great mix! The portable shop/store would have to be a hit at any boat gathering. The firebug in me loves the pyromania display. And the selection of boats are great too. Looked like an eventful day. Thanks for sharing it with us.

WOW! There's some serious military modeling going on "down under". Very impressive show and the models are beautiful. Looks like ya'll had a great day but did the battleship make it into the water? Love to see some shots of that. Thanks for posting and shows like this will go a long way in promoting our hobby. Great job everybody. Pete

Glad you like the pics . It was a great day.
The pyrotechnic displays throughout the day were impressive Pops. Wish I'd managed to get some video of some.
Johns mobile Shop is fantastic, He has or can get anything you want. He has import deals with Robbe & Graupner and many other well known brands.
He and his partner, Raven, have a website & mail order service & he travels all over the place. He turns up at our club at least once, sometimes twice a month & I for one always spend a few bucks with him. And he's a fantastic guy to boot. He will help anyone with a problem.
Pete.
The battle ship in the water is the last photo in the above posting. I'll post a few more here.
As far as promotion of the hobby, as the general public wander through the look on the kids faces is priceless. And the dads? Well I think it's the same look, just a bit more veiled sometimes.
Keith.
It's a great shop
John actually donated a bag of goodies worth $70.00 that was raffled off for the club.
Nick.
I was surprised that you didn't make it. Your club was well represented though.
Millertime.
He does sell overseas as well as all over Australia. Just checked the website & it's down at the moment. I'll post the link when it's up & running. You never know, with the exchange rate working in your favor it might be worth a look.
Chuck.
I don't know the scale or even the name of that monster, but I will find out & let you know. I think I heard someone mention 1:48 scale. Not sure.
Here's some more pics of it. In one of them my blockade runner is 1.55m (61") Long. That might give you some idea of the size.

Love the pics, you all really know how to do it in Australia and you seem to have more than your fair share of great modelers. ;)
