Newbe To RC Boats

I am new to building an Rc boat.In the past I have made a couple of free running balsa boats and a couple of display only.Nothing fantastic but fun to make.I am in the process of buying a Billing's White Star kitset to RC.Has anyone got any tips or ideas that may help make it a success?

These are items as reccomended by Billing to complete it as an RC model to perform in the way it was intended by the designer. If you want your own path, all you need do is fill the list in with your own choice of equivalents.
