She wants to keep me busy and out of her hair.
It was our wedding anniversary on Wed. and my birthday of Thurs. so my gal got me a Dremel 400 XPR Deluxe kit, the one with the flex cable, hole cutter and circle cutter as a replacement for my 30 yr. + Dremel I have now. WOW, like going from driving a Yugo to a Porsche 911 Turbo, I really have been living in the dark ages.
But, she also found a Billings African Queen kit on eBay for $83, when I bid they always go for much more, besides that she found a store on eBay Canada that sells plans on CD and got me plans for a Steam launch, the Rose, similar to the Elliot Bay but 31" LOA and not as well appointed, and the plans for a Victoria Thames Steam Launch, similar to Krick but with a canopy in front of the Saloon, both have full size plans that print out on 32x12 for the Rose and 40x32 for the Victoria and the Victoria has plans for an engine and boiler that print out on 42x32 paper. The Rose I can probably handle but the Victoria has a lot of detail and looks more for a more experienced builder than I and I don't think I can get by with a Heritage motor for these two and you all know what larger marine steam engines go for.
This should and probably keep me busy for some time.
