More than a year in the making, the MEGA PILOT series from Red Aero RC offers the 40% Classic Aviator (brain bag) is complete and ready to order. E mail me if interested as it will be some time before he shows up on the website.

Complete figure ready to mount in your plane came in at only 5.2 oz.- even with the added details of having glassed goggles and an ascot front torso.

We soon will also offer the same figure available as a mantel or desk top Bust. Actual finished piece will be a more typical Bust Model design on a pedestal mount. The casting will be made with actual antique bronze or copper. This casting will have the weight feel as a metal casting since it will contain the metal. Even the copper can be allowed to patina prior to clear coating.

If you are seriously interested in this item, please e mail me to discuss at:

Thanks for your compliments guys. We are focused on selling a new style for the hobby.
The Classic Aviator is only available in 40% scale at this time. Work on a 33% should start soon, but history shows it will be a long time in coming. The 40% took about a year to complete all models and molds, so holding one's breath  till you can get one is not recommended!

If curious, we are intentionally avoiding the 25% and smaller scales. :( Since there is such and abundance of those sizes out there - and the truly biggest of big suppliers have that market so sewn up- why would we expend the efforts to compete with them? True, (unfortunately) it leaves many modelers with a cockpit lacking an equal representative to the pride they have in their project.

Frankly, it is those cartoon-ist looking, unrealistic, plastic junk that has had me motivated for 28 years to bring RED AERO RC caliber product to the hobby.

Watch the Model Aviation section "Worth a Closer Look" July - Aug? Jay Smith is putting a review together for us. :)
