Our local Community Emergency Response Team is putting together a trailer for use as a mobile command post. Homeland Security and FEMA provided some limited ham gear, but we would like to add to the outfit to allow more than one operator station... as we only have one dual-band radio.
In Vermont, we are often called upon in poor weather conditions and communications by cell phone here are mostly not available.
If you have any ham equipment you'd like to donate, you will have our gratitude. HT's, mobiles, even FRS/GMRS stuff since we are forced sometimes to use those when we have volunteers on walking searches.
If you have something nice, like maybe moved up from an IC2200 to something fancy and would make us a good deal- I'm willing to pay for some stuff as a donation myself if you just can't part with it free.
Antennae are welcome as well!
The organization is not allowed to solicit donations, so I am soliciting donations on my own and without having been asked to do so.
Thank you for your consideration.
