Hello,
I am working on a project. I have all component list and other things need to complete this but PCB layout was not present with project only a cicuit diagram was present. I am new to design a PCB can anyone please design a pcb according to this circuit diagram I am attaching the circuit diagram here and the component list too.
Components used:-
" MT8870 DTMF DECODER - 1
" Atmega 16 microcontroller - 1
" L293d motor driver ic - 1
" Cd7004 not gate ic - 1
" 1n4007 diode - 1
" 100k resistances - 2
" 10 k resistances - 5
" 330 k resistances - 1
" 0.47mf capacitors - 1
" 0.1mf capacitors - 1
" 22pf capacitors - 4
" 3.57mhz crystal - 1
" 12mhz crystal - 1
" Push to on switch - 1
" 2 geared motors (6v, 50 rpm) - 2 (4 for four wheel drive)

I do this for a living and would be glad to help. $250/hr. Only take 1 or 2.

I have come across the same problem from time to time. I downloaded Eagle
for free and I am still learning how to use it. It seems easy at first, but it does have a learning curve :D .

I use Express PCB http://www.expresspcb.com/ to good effect for these types of layouts. They provide the software for free, but it only works with their PCB manufacturing system. But their prices are quite reasonable too.

hmmm Cd7004 not gate ic - 1 / hex inverter doesn't exist. Tell us where you are having a problem and I'm sure someone might be able to help. What PCB program are you going to use?

I think he meant a 7404 (not 7004) hex inverter... simple typo...

Do you also have the HEX code to program the micro ??
If not then there would be little point in continuing with the project unless you can program and write your own code to do the same functions ?

Yes, if you look very closely at the bottom of the schematic, it says that IC4 is a 74LS04.
Apparently he is trying to build this (http://www.instructables.com/id/Cellphone_operated_Robot/) cell phone controlled car.

Neat idea. It uses DTMF tones to control the car. Those are the different tones your phone makes when pressing a number.

I think one needs to elaborate on what kind of a PCB layout one would need.
Do you want to use DIP chips and through hole resistors and caps? Or would Surface mount SMD chips and components be OK? or maybe a combination or the two?
Then how big does it need to be? Do you want it as small as possible or can it be larger as needed to get all the components on the PCB and connected up?
if this is a one off design, using a small piece of perfboard is probably the way to go with through hole components and DIP chips.

Hello friends thanks for replying,
earlwb
I a need to make it on a small pcb as it beed to to be installed with a robot car (I need it as just making a simple layout on pcb and etching it and mounting all components by soldering) as perfboard are not allowed.
Dan
Thanks I was bit confused about the ic number 7004 so I took a 7400 ic thanks for clearing the IC number to me.
Malc
Yes I have the hex code.
I was stucked in the pcb layout only as there was restriction on perf board. I am new to design a PCB layout . Please can someone help me by designing a layout for the circuit.
I am making this project for my college project submission.

What components do you already have? Do you have DIP chips for the IC's or do you have SMD IC's?
Small as possible usually means SMD components. IF you don't know how to design the PCB then you will have trouble trying to etch the board yourself too.

I have all the components included in the component list. I am refering to smd ic . I can do etching at my home.

Hi Zed1234,
If you etch your own boards, I suggest you get ExpressPCB and draw your own layout. It isn't as powerful as Eagle, but it's free, easy to learn, and has everything you need to make this board.
Originally, you couldn't print your board layout with ExpressPCB, but they changed that. I use it all the time for quick prototypes and one-off boards. I usually print the design on clear acetate and use photo-sensitized boards, but I also have used the toner transfer system successfully, many times.
Here's the download site:

It's not a great circuit to make a PCB for, since the original (http://www.instructables.com/id/Cellphone_operated_Robot/ ) used perfboard or stripboard or whatever. It's got components that aren't needed, chips that are too big, and pays no attention whatsoever to make a PCB easy to lay out. In addition, pieces are missing - the photo has a nice power-supply cap, but there's none in the schematic.
You'd be better off figuring out how to connect the touchtone chip to an ardunio...
