so I was on youtube last night and came across this video of a camera controller that you could set to trigger the camera at a set time continuously until the unit was turned off, here's the link.

the only down side is that the guy has no diagrams of the system.

so my question is would any of you guys know how to hook this up?

Have a look for a James Gentles switch, or IR trigger.

There are also ways to trigger Canon cameras.

You can let google be your friend, but if you look long enough in RCgroups the answer to every question is in here just about.

As davidlowjw said, If you have a Canon camera (well a lot of them anyway), you could allways download the open software CHDK, save it to the cameras sd-card, to be able to do interval triggering, motion detection, shoot RAW images etc. But this machine sure looks way cooler.
