I'm making tooling for an rc jet, 34" wing. Might weigh 2.5 pounds, same in thrust initially.

I have cut a foam core for the wing. I just took a clark Y and chopped the aspect in half.

My question is, will this be good for a high speed wing? Will I be sorry? it is about 5/8" at the root and maybe 3/8 at the tip. Wing loading in the low low 20's if not 19. 34" span. Is there a good-better-best that would give me more speed but still have a decent flight envelope. The Jepe Pyrana is the inspiration for my project.

For high speed flying the Clark Y is not a good choice. At high speeds the angle of attack will actually end up being a small negative amount while the minimum drag comes from an angle of attack that is a small positive angle.

What you want is a fairly thin symetrical (zero camber) airfoil or what many call a "semi symetrical" airfoil that has a small amount of camber in the .7 to 1.5% at most range. In the good ol' NACA lineup that would be something like a NACA 1409 or 2409. On a more modern note some of the airfoils used for slope racing gliders would also be a good choice.
