bad bearings?

Just curious guys- i have a Storm 63-74 200 (I beleive basically a turnigy SK) Seems to have good japanese bearings to start with. i put it in the ground last year, i took it apart cleaned everyithing but now i am paranoid about having bad bearings. what is the first sign of bad ones and how long does it take to turn catastrophic? i ran it up now and seems fine, hard to tell with the heavy cogging how the bearings are. I hate to risk a $500 plane and $300 esc. Any help appreciated. Ryan

First sign is the distinct loud noise the bearing makes even though seem to have no play, don't wait until it collapes though.

For the price of new bearings I would just change them. Find the size and buy some new ones from boca bearings.
