Can standard Ultracote be used on the flight control surfaces? I have some trans yellow I would like to use on the elevator, rudder and ailerons.
Tested the power system last night:
Himaxx Ha 2025-4200 w/ 6.6:1 ratio
APCE 12X6 Slowfly
Hyperion 3S 1800 20C
E Flite 20A ESC
BP Hobbies Corona synthesized Rxcr
Power in was 21A over 165 W. Lotsa thrust for this little plane. As soon As I get my order of Ultrcote Lite in I will have it finished. Now if the weather will only co operate.....

I just did this on my plane. Yet to fly yet but the weight difference on such a small area will not do much to the plane.

I have covered the entire plane in both regular Ultracote and Monokote. Both work.
I would avoid the Monokote unless you are a very experienced modeler. It can be difficult to form the wing tips with Monokote. The additional weight does not effect the plane too much.
