I have a nib A60-20s that I was going to use to convert a friends H9 Beaver but he crashed it tonight - (too damn windy = idiot).

So now, what plane do you guys recommend I get for this nice motor? - Jim

I guess no one has any ideas which plane I should buy? -
Then PM me with an offer for the motor and I'll move on to a different project - Jim :)

What kind of planes do you like? A 70"ish, 8-10 lb.
I've got a A60-22s that I was thinking might be good for the new 3DHS plane that
is coming out. The batteries you are wanting to use, also comes into play.
What were you thinking of?:)

OK, I just spent the morning in my basement and I already have TOO many unbuilt planes, so I'm gonna skip getting another for this motor -

If you know of anyone that could use this moter, please shoot me a PM. thanks Jim :)

So is this like the wrong forum for this motor?

Doesn't seem real popular around here.

It is the pattern guys that use this motor, or who? - thanks Jim

I checked the specs on that motor and it looks like it could work well with something like the new Extreme Flight 78" Extra that is supposed to be on the market in about a month if you're into 3D or aerobatic flying. I believe it would be too heavy for a 70" wingspan aerobatic 3D plane. If you're more into sport flying I would guess it would work on anything around a 80"-96" wingspan and 10 - 14lbs flying weight.

I had that motor in a DPM Ultimate 60" on 10s. The plane was way too heavy for the size of the airframe and while it was a snotload of power, the plane just didn't fly well. Ditched that plane and put that power system in an 80" Morris Hobbies "Big Boy". The plane actually had too much power on 10s so I dropped it down to 8s and it flies perfectly. Just as much power as a 1.20-powered glow equivalent. The plane's about 9 lbs. and it's a perfect amount of sport power on 8s.

I think a club member has that same motor in a Seagull Models Harrier 3D on 10s, and it's a silly amount of power for that airplane.

That motor on 10s would fly most aerobatic/sport planes well up to 14 lbs. I would think you'd get good scale flight on a plane that weight 16 lbs. with that power system as well.

I tend to agree with Mike. I had the A60-22s on10s in the EF 74" YAK
I wasn't impressed with the power. Feel it's better suited in a 9-10lb. plane
for 3D. I think it might be pushing it a little for even sport flying in the EF YAK....my 2 cts. :D
