Hey guys. I am thinking about placing another order from Hobby City. I have tried looking through their listing of brushless outrunners, but since they don't all get numbered the same way I don't really know what to look for. I am looking for something similar to the popular 2212-06 motor. Actually, I am just looking for a motor that would power my tomhe F-18 Super Hornet with authority using a 2200mah 20c 3s lipo. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Try this from an eBay seller that I bought 2 from. They're perfect for tomhe's F-18 and for $24, it also includes the ESC.

I had this motor laying around for ages. Can't even remember why I bought it! http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2110&Product_Name=TR_28-26_16A_1900Kv_Brushless_Outrunner
I decided to make a zagnutz wing a couple of weeks ago. Stuck this outrunner on with a 6x4 prop, and I was pleasantly suprised. I haven't had the chance to do any amp readings, but after multiple WOT runs, both motor and 1350mah Rhino 25C batteries were not even warm. Depends on your model size, but I think this motor is screaming park-jet. I'll try and do some testing tomorrow and post the results.
Having said all that, the post above does seem like a pretty good deal!

I have been looking for an alternative as well since shipping for the us to Norway is very expensive
I have used this motor and it gives my parkjets quite good performance :)

I use it with a APC-E 6x5,5 and it bearly gets warm. Too bad there is no 6x6 available...

That's just a re-badged Suppo 2212-06 anyway (just like the e-bay RC Timer re-badged version!!!). If it barely gets warm with a 6x5.5 it must be the equivalent of the lower Kv "Suppo 2212-06 Blue (~2150Kv)". The original "2212-06 Gold (~2315Kv)" would fry at well over 25A with a 6x5.5! Although in Norway at -40C I guess heat is relative.
Graupner makes a 6x6.
P.S. have you weighed that motor - there is no way it is only 47g! - 51g-55g is about right depending on the version.

I just tested my little turnigy very quickly. With a 6x4 prop, I got 15 amps at the max, and 180 watts using a 1350 Rhino 25c battery. My wing only weighs 11.5 ounces, so that 180 watts is enough!! I think I might try that ebay combo though. Seems like a pretty good deal....just need to check the postage
EDIT* I just read that shipping is free! So that makes it a really really good deal!
