I had my mind set on getting the Extreme Flight yak but now I'm wondering about the TOC. One thing that draws me to the TOC is the crash replacement program Ace Hobby has, doesn't matter how you wreck your plane you can buy a new one for 40% off.

I guess I'm going to buy the one that flys the best.

Does anyone have any experence with either planes? Or both? Is there anything I should know about either one?

Thanks.

Wow, I did not know about that replacement deal.
I've never owned either one, however I have read a lot of info.

Extreme Flight:
Great flight characteristics, flies straight and true.
Not a quick build series (pre-hinged, etc.)
Have heard complaints about having to reglue joints after several flights.

TOC:
Well built
A little on the heavy side.
I think some are quick build

I would have to give serious consideration to the Ace Yak -due to the crash program alone.

My 2 cents,
Mike :)

Thanks nrthwing. I think the crash replacement program has changed my mind. The TOC is $50 cheaper then the EF yak and if you crash it it only costs $360 for a new one (they even replace it if you back over it with your car, or any other way you can wreck a plane).

Does anyone know about the 3D flight characteristics of the TOC compaired to the EF? I can't stand when planes do weird things, it takes the fun out of flying.

I have a EF 47" yak and I want to throw it in the garbage, I bought it when it was on sale for $100. I feel I payed to much.

Kona,
Where or from whom would you be purchasing the TOC Yak from?
I'm kind of interested myself.

Thanks,
Mike

If I end up getting the TOC it will be from Ace Hobby.

I checked all Canadian distributers and none that I can find sell the TOC models.

I emailed A Main Hobbies and asked them if they can special order one. This is the reply I got.

Thank you for contacting us. We will submit your request to our buyer to see if this is something we can start carrying. Thank you.

So you should send them an email asking the same thing. If we get lots of intrest maybe they will start carrying the TOC models.

Kona: Tom @ www.valleyviewrc.com is a distributor for "TOC" Airplanes & also Carries the Aero-Works line of airplanes. Drop him a line or give him a call. He's a great person to deal with!
