TD Weekday afternoon flying in Ventura/T.O. area???

I work at Port Hueneme, and live in Harbor City.
Some weeknights after work I stay at work, and would like to know if anyone flys 3M TD planes from a winch or Hi-Start nearby. I'd like to get in whatever practice I can.

Try contacting Thousand Oaks Soaring Society. They may know of a member with a secret weekday place to fly. Camarillo school playgrounds are now under AYSO lockdown so we all play indoors on our Xbox. :mad:

Field of Dreams, I guess it would be San Pedro, the old SULA club runs the flying there. Right by the smoketacks off the 110.

I think he calls it Neverland and it's near Santa Ynez. Looks like it would be a great place to fly and then ride the merry-go-round, watch Thriller on the big screen. Maybe even have a sleepover?

Why don't you come out to the TOSS club meeting next Wednesday night? It would be a good opportunity to meet the guys the fly in the area and ask questions....

I usually fly at Field of Dreams when I'm home on the weekends and they are not using it for soccer. it's an excellent field.


But much of the week is "wasted" by not flying at all in the afternoons up in the Port Hueneme area.
I have hi-started my Psyko very near to work, right by the base....But it's usually very windy in the afternoons there; a little too much to call the flying I do thermalling.
