View Full Version : Webra mid range rich spot

Hi all
as you will probably know from my previous posts, I'm rather partial to
Webra engines : )
I've had a 61 AAR which has now been sold on in another model, and now own 2
Milly's, one with the 91 AAR (still running in but VERY nice) and a 75 P5.
The 75 is on an Hatori 650 and has oodles of power, but the mid range is far
too rich and I would like to smooth out the engine in the hover etc.
Has anyone had any success with mods or fuel/plug combinations on this
engine.
Thanks for letting me ramble

I have been told that the only real way to get the 91 right through the
whole range is to fit the MC remote mixture carb
I had exactly the same experiences, as are two others at my field. I am
going to give the MC a go...

75 with a muscle pipe 2 is sweet through out the whole range!

I had exactly the same problem with mine. I tried just about every plug out there, and the dual plug head. Fuel from 0%nitro to 15%. I was running a MP1 and it was great up top. But it would always be a problem in the middle. I only fly 3D so it wasn't a big problem. I used to lift off in idle up2, then unload the disc for a second to let the engine get up to full rpm. Then it would behave all through the flight. Great power too.

My solution was to put an OS91 with a hyperhead in. Top end power was not that much more, but torque blew the 75 away.

I have used F7 plugs too, and found that it helps considerably with
smooth running of the 75AAR
