Nice pics. I like the look of your pond area, sun on the water and shade on the staging area.

I wish my pond had shade that close to the water. I was just visiting today. That is the INS lake site, in Riverside, California, Fairmount Park.

Well I'll be darned! The INS posts this is their "sail regatta" but it seems the majority of boats did not have sails! Very confusing...
Thanks for taking and posting the pictures Manny. I like your detail shots a lot!

Good shots of really nice boats. Thank you for sharing them with us. One shot that wasn't taken - a good full length pic of the u-boat. We see a tantalizing shot of the stern of it and the forward deck gun in pic #12.
I always like to see models of u-boats, even though some fellows seem to think that if you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. :)
It's instructive to see such good examples of high modelmaking standards. Most of us would not normally have an opportunity to see boats like these up close. Thanks again for taking the time to take the pictures.

!
So was this a sail event or just a fun type run, might have gone if I had known power scale boats were allowed.
Did this have organized sail events?
Were the power boats allowed to run anytime?
Thanks

There was sailboat racing and a course for the power boats to run.
On this lake they allow all boats , any power source.
They will have a fall regatta for all boats, but the emphasis will be tugboats.

The tug in photo 1344 (Clarke?) - looks very similar to a fibreglass hull and wheelhouse/cabin that I just started. Can the owner of that send me a little more info? Its the green tug there - shows in a couple of your photos.
Thanks, mike

I was going to bring my tug out for this one but all the info I had was that this was a sailboat regatta and skipped it.
Too bad there was not better info in the INS site.

The Tug in Photo 1344 appears to be the tug that is available from Mosquito Boat Hobbies

I agree most thought it was sail only. Next event will be their fall regatta, remember all boats welcome. :D

Mosquito sounds familiar - missed it on the website. I'm looking for deck details - making handrails - cut out the windows, portholes and doors, etc. Always watching for photos. Thanks for the response.
