In IMAC sequences, how do you determine where the center is between maneuvers or w/in a maneuver? Center being centerline in front of the pilot and judges?

imac did away with centering a few years ago in favor of a subjective evaluation called airspace control. this was done, presumably, because imac was seeking a smaller noise footprint as well as wanting to further align itself with full scale, known as IAC. whether either of goals have been met, or even are desirable, is a different question, but for now, it's up to the pilot to figure out what the judges will like best and to fly accordingly.
