It may not be too bad most of the time. On big boats I generally find
that the genoa foot lifts as you tack and most of the time will go
across wothout hooking onto anything. Contolling the lazy sheet helps.

You will have most trouble in light winds as the foot of the sail and
sheets will drag slowly across the deck.

It is worth being prepared to relocate cleats etc that regularly hook
the sheets as you tack. On my boat the anchor winch is the worst
offender and I can't move that but a canvas cover has made it less of
a problem as the sheet generally slides over it.
