A german chain of 1:1 auto part/accessories shops is advertizing, via
un-adressed paper mail, with a Tamiya TC for EUR 499. www.atu.de

No connection to the shop, just want to notify everybody in and around
Germany wanting to buy a TC but refusing to pay >EUR 700. TowerHobbies
is still cheaper but will not ship a TC to Europe.

,Joey.

Can your usenet software read this € (euro sign)?

At least it's something. I'm getting tired from paying outrages prices.

Can you tell me if the Losi products are easy to come by in Germany ?
I saw that Graupner now distributes the Losi products. but nobody can tell
me any prices. Besides, if you want a xxx-nt for example one can only buy
the Adam Drake edition and not the standard kit AFAIK.

How about spare parts, any ideas ?

I can see it in your first reply, but it appears as question mark in
your second reply. Anyway on my computer it is alt followed by 0128. 4
digit alt codes are new to me that's why I asked if any of you could
read it. I use Mozilla.

No clue about Losi, I live in the Netherlands (close enough to the
German border to receive German paper junk mail) I still have to decide
on a Tmaxx or savage(w/reverse) from TowerH or a TerraCrusher bought
locally.
I do agree with you, that prices are outragous, compared wiht the US and
Asian internet and real live stores. I am still in favor of supporting
my local hobby shop, and willing to pay more just for personal service,
a chat and a cup of coffee on that day too cold for going to the flying
field. But price differences are growing too big, especially with the
US$ being low to the euro.

,Joey.

PS can anybody tell me about when to top post or not.

Same here, also the Netherlands and also close to the border. Didn't see
that one tough.

Sure, no problem. But I'm not prepared buying the things, just because they
have it in stock.
I want, for example, for my associated truck a Novarossi engine.
Nobody that can sell it to me, the factory agreed to sell it direct, but
communication with the Italian factory is a pain.

I saw that the Truck scene in the UK is comming up, but here it's still
nothing. Anybody else in the Netherlands runnig (gas) trucks and having
problems getting the material ?

If I want a clutch from mip for axample, I pay a little more than twice
the US price ! After a while it's not fun anymore.

Where do you fly ? I myself are a the southern border with Germany.
