Hello!
I want to buy a cheap off road rc car. I already have the
transmitter/receiver/servos, so I need the model and the engine.
I need a cheap model to begin. At my local store I have been offered:
1.-Carlson Pick Stadium Fight, 2WD, 15' engine, 1/10 scale (239 euros)
2.-Carlson Fire Cracker, very similar to Pick, big wheels... (299
euros)
3.-Kyosho Inferno TR-15, 4WD, 15 eng, 1/10 (290 euros)
1&2 assembled, 3 unassembled.
I need your advise in order not to make any mistake. Do you know these
models? Are they worth? Remember I only want to "try", I will use it
quite seldom...
Any help will be appreciated!
Regards.

Buy the Kyosho..first you will learn alot about it when you build it..making
it easier to fix later. Plus you can get upgrades for it when you are
ready..
Carlson?? never heard of them!

I think he may be referring to Carson, a Tamiya Europe company. See
http://www.tamiya.de/

p.s. they used to have an awesome collection of lexan bodies- stuff you've
never seen in the states. Of course, now I can't find a link to it... and
they had a Lancia Stratos! I imagine shipping is probably very pricey from
Germany to Texas.

Yes, efectively 2 minutos after posting I noticed I had read the name
wrongly... It is Carson.
You can see them at:
http://www.madmaxx.de/monstertrucks/carson/carson.shtml
The models I referred are the 2nd and 3rd in the pictures.
What do you think about them? It's pretty sure I will make my purchase
next week.
Thanks!
Eduardo

The Firecracker would be best for rough surfaces and stunts, but the Stadium
Fighter will handle better because it's lower. The Kyosho will probably be
the best handling of all three. If you are going to be playing in dirt and
grassy fields- get the Firecracker. If you ever want to race- get the
Kyosho.
IMHO,

p.s. if anyone from the US wants to see something interesting, follow the
link Eduardo sent and look at the different brands and vehicles. For
example- the Graupner Wildcat is a Traxxas electric Stampede with a
twin-stick radio instead of a wheel-type. And if any of you have heard me
wish for trucks with the wheels tucked under the body for scale appearance
and fender-rubbin' style racing, Carson has the 2wd Flasher and the 4wd Wild
Thing.
