Some of you have seen the pictures I posted of my Happy Hunter and have even been kind enough to respond to questions I've had. In an early posting I mentioned that one of my peices was missing and I was trying to replace it. A forum member even tried to help, but he didn't have an extra of that peice.
The peice was missing, when I built the boat, but I had it's mate. I decided at the time to cast the missing peice in resin and make a new one. That worked out fine, until within the past year or so I realized the peice was breaking down, I am guessing from UV exposure, and rapidly deteorating.
By chance I was on Robbe's site a few weeks back and decided to see if they had the peice listed. I knew the part number, so I did a search with no results. I decided to click on the "send an e-mail" link and it asked for my name, address, information and space to send a message. I explained the situation and was wondering if they could help me locate the peice locally, or if I could buy it from them. I was also able to include an attachment and sent them a picture of my Happy Hunter.
I actually forgot about the e-mail and the fact that I never heard a word back from Robbe. Today my wife and I went out to run some errands and when we come home there is a box at our door. My wife says she didn't order anything and I said either did I. I pick up the box and it's from Robbe!
Shocked, surprised and curious I opened it as quickly as I could, to discover the peice in the box located on the original parts sheet. Of course there were other peices there I didn't need, but the one I did, is there ready to now be installed.
I noticed the box cost them 21 Euros to send to me and the invoice said $0. I still can't believe they sent me the item! Absolutely awesome customer service, Kudos to Robbe. My boat will once again be complete and they have a customer for life!
